The neutral would be hot1 the other input hot2?** A: Yes the switch can be wire with two phases. Two hot 1(L1) will be 1phase, hot 2 (L2) will be another phase then tie the neutral (N) in with the utility neutral and the ground (G) with the utility ground. When using two phases the neutral is NOT to be wired in the switch but with the utility neutral. **Q: is this transfer unit fused? If not what size fuse do I need?** A: Because this ATS is rated at 50A CONTINUOUS (assumed) power, circuit breakers on its input & output need to be 125% of this value or 60A. There needs to be a SEPARATE single-pole breaker in the main breaker panel (or sub panel) that feeds 120V grid power to the ATS. If the inverter used is not already equipped with an output breaker, an external 60A breaker must be provided on the inverter's AC output (power is always overcurrent protected at its source). **Q: Is this compatible for grid power 220v 60hz? because the grid power in our area is 220-240v 60hz.** A: It says 220-240 50hz but it will work with 60hz as it doesn’t monitor the frequency.
