Review: It's a check plunger! It's nylon and rubber! - It gave the valves on my sink a much more solid feel, with positive shutoff. The old plungers were all-rubber, and the shaft swelled up and wasn't sliding in its bore, plus the seating surface was a bit worn. With the new nylon body/shaft and a separate rubber seal for the valve, I expect this to last longer. Also, when one rubber seal surface wears out, it should be possible to flip the rubber seal and get some more life out of it.

It gave the valves on my sink a much more solid feel, with positive shutoff. The old plungers were all-rubber, and the shaft swelled up and wasn't sliding in its bore, plus the seating surface was a bit worn. With the new nylon body/shaft and a separate rubber seal for the valve, I expect this to last longer. Also, when one rubber seal surface wears out, it should be possible to flip the rubber seal and get some more life out of it.
