Works exactly as advertised. Excellent service from the seller, who shipped quickly at my request, and also from the freight company who called to keep me informed about status and to coordinate delivery, which was also quick. I placed the bed (with no legs attached) on top of a custom-made solid wooden platform base, and it works perfectly. Nothing protrudes beneath the frame with the bed at any angle, including flat. Note that the bed is really heavy, so be prepared to have help setting it up, or spring for white glove delivery.Update August 2016. I like this adjustable platform so much, I'm ordering another one (split king). ### ⭐⭐⭐ False Advertising *by S***S on November 12, 2015* These beds are being misrepresented to consumers. I spent a LOT of time researching adjustable beds and settled on this model because every vendor is stating that these new models have re-programmable presets. Essentially, it is being stated that once you find adjustment settings that you like, two of the factory presets can be overwritten to your favorite settings. This is 100% false, and I found out the hard way. After receiving my bed, I called Ergomotion to figure out how to re-program the presets. The rep said that function is only available on the 8300, not the 5100. When I called back the next day to confirm, another rep told me that not even the 8300 can do that, and only their E-series can perform this function. It seems neither the vendors nor ergomotion understand these new models. It should also be noted that while these beds also tout their ability to be programmed via smartphone, they fail to mention that you need to buy a module to plug into the bed to do this, and that module hasn't even been developed yet, so the function isn't there. Not that it's being advertised, but you should know the remote is not backlit either, which makes for challenging adjustments in the dark.Aside from these, it's a nice bed with good features, but I spent a ton of time researching and talking to my vendor (and others) to make sure this bed had the capability I wanted, and it does not.
