There is literally no way for this thing to damage your water pipe, it is essentially just a molded rubber "Snap bracelet" that clings onto the pipe. Clearly designed for Bic lighters but it holds my Clippers just fine. I bought the glow in the dark one and it really glows brightly if you charge it. Think of it as a pocket for your pipe.
