Thermomate would not reply to multiple requests for help. Their web site says sold out on flow meters. My wife threatened my life if I didn’t get her hot water and told me she was going to the hair salon daily until it was fixed. I bought a couple of these for $12 and figured 1 for experimentation and 1 to use. Well, the threads on both sides are correct but it is about 2 threads too long to get in without removing the thermosit sensor underneath it. Thought about cutting 2 threads off bottom but ended up removing the sensor underneath until it was in place. It just barely reattached. Also the cable is too short to reach the control board. You need to cut it and splice it to the old 3 color wire matching colors. But it works (and saved my life). Make sure you install arrow pointing up. I’m saving the second 1 for a backup. Everyone with an on-demand should have a backup on hand. I almost spent the $1400 quoted by a plumber for a new system. Don’t attempt anything with the power on to the unit! I found barbed tube (5/8") fittings on McMaster, part # 5372K218.
