It does seem to leave the smallest of gaps around the edge of the screen and it would probably not have 100% coverage outside a case. I got this one specifically hoping it would avoid the issue of the edges of the protector rolling up because the case keeps chafing it. The fingerprint reader works perfectly through it and no need to increase the touch sensitivity for regular use either. The only downsides seem to be that it is a little more difficult to install because it's hard to get it off the stiff plastic card it comes on. It took a few tries with the spray to move it around into the right position and try not to crease it too much. If you try too many times, you end up having to clean the screen again because you're bound to introduce some dust that will get stuck on it. Also for what it's worth, don't expect it to prevent your screen from cracking after being dropped as no screen protector can really help with that.
