Once the application has completely dried, it is safe for dogs to be on the lawn. **Q: will this kill Japanee Beetle eggs in the grass?** A: The Imidacloprid ingredient in this product is a systemic insecticide, the grass will absorb it and when the grubs in the ground eat the grass roots they will stop eating and die. For this to work you will want to put it down in time for the grass to absorb it and when the grubs are young and actively feeding, its recommended to spray this June-July for this to work on the new grubs in summer/fall. To match the Imidacloprid application rates in the professional grade products you would mix up 15oz of this product with 1 gallon of water to spray 1,000sf of lawn. This product is also a contact insecticide and will kill beetles on the lawn in summer, can spray any time you see them. **Q: Can I use this on fake grass?** A: I don't see why not. I try to keep my lawn free of insects and weeds, but last season I had what I suspect were chinch bugs feeding on it (as well as on many of my neighbors’ lawns) while I was away for three months. When I returned, there were bare spots everywhere, and it was a feeding frenzy. I put down some bug killer from Home Depot, which helped a bit but didn’t wipe them out—it just slowed the attack. This spring, some spots were healing from my repairs, but I noticed new damage and fresh problem areas. I asked AI for advice, provided photos, and it recommended this product. After applying it, the spots stopped spreading, and after a second application a couple of weeks later, the bugs were gone. Within days, the lawn began to recover. This is an effective product, though I think it takes a couple of applications to truly eliminate the pests. Before I go away this summer, I plan to put down the granules as a preventative measure in hopes of keeping them under control. In Florida, bugs are a constant problem and can destroy a lawn quickly—I’ve seen neighbors have to rip out and re-sod most of their yards because of them. My recommendation is to apply a strong dose of the granules across the entire yard, then use the spray to target trouble spots. It might seem like overkill, but unless you want to re-sod your lawn, you need to stop them before they take over. The photo shows my treated grass that is next to my neighbor's grass. Now his lawn was a lot worse he is treating his lawn too (professionally mind you) and it is recovering now too but mine still looks better. Several of my neighbors asked me what I did to rescue my grass.
