A: I think they are about even with the whitening. I like brushing my teeth the best. If you want extra you could use the pen. It really depends on what you want out of it. Younger people want to keep their teeth really white , so the toothpaste and the whitening pen would be a good combo. I hope this was helpful

**Q: Is this very abrasive?  Doesn't abrasive toothpastes wear the enamel down?**
A: After 2 weeks of use and using the toothpaste twice a day my teeth are noticeably whiter. My teeth are 55 years old!

If you want a whitening toothpaste that will combat your coffee habit this one will work well for that, however, I do warn you it tastes awful. If this is worth it to you, go for it. I probably will get a different toothpaste though in the future by this same brand in a better flavor next time personally.
