Performed as expected

The diode worked as it should. It is the same quality as other diodes that I have purdhased in the past. Markings are easy to see.

1N34A Diode -- OF LOVE!

You can take your Zener diodes, your silicone diodes, your fancy-schmancy high-speed switching diodes, and you can keep them all -- because this one classic 1N34A germanium diode is the only diode I'll ever love. I knew when I received it that we were meant to regulate small current flows in one direction only. The moment I built a circuit around it, this little diode came to life, valving electrons like something magical. "V equals I R," I whispered, and waves crashed against a rocky shore, a speeding train rushed into a tunnel, and swelling music filled my soul. 1N34A, you had me at 99 cents...

These are not proper germanium diodes, the are fake.

You pay a premium for Germanium diodes because they have a forward voltage drop of .3V rather than the silicon diode's voltage drop around .7V. Well, I ordered from this seller and put them in my circuit and it didn't work. Couldn't figure out why, until I tested the diode today and found it to have a voltage drop of .628. In other words, IT'S A FAKE. Waste of money and my time.
