## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this controller work on a PS1 system?**
A: It should. Ps2 controllers normally do

**Q: How do I fix the issue in delayed button response and left joystick once tapped once to the left or right keeps moving in that direction?**
A: It could be dust buildup in the joystick.

**Q: Considering how most sellers don't sell the receiver, is it possible to use any kind of receiver to get it to work?**
A: Yes and No. I have a PC Logitech reciever and one of the PS2 Receivers I 'salvaged' from a broken PS2 controller of this same make and model. After some experimentation, The controllers can link up to another PS2 adapter that they aren't originally paired with; If you got a PS2 reciever you salvaged from another playstation 2 logitech controller, you'll be able to pair it with any controller that you order, providing the seller doesn't send the receiver.

**Q: Comes with the receiver? Is the product new with warranty?**
A: It does come with a receiver if listed as being in 'New' condition. This is a discontinued item -- sold here as 'new old stock' -- so no warranty.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than the stock controller in almost every way!
*by A***. on December 22, 2013*

Some short back-story: My first console was a Nintendo Gamecube, and I moved on to an Xbox 360 years later, so I've always been used to the round, ergonomic controllers. I recently began collecting games and consoles, and the PS1/PS2 dual shock controllers (Which I will refer to as "Stock") just didn't cut it for me, so I said to myself "Self, you should get a Logitech Playstation 2 Cordless Action Controller", so I did. The end. Lets talk about it.Now, Everyone's hands are different, so it would be irresponsible of me to go on about how "This controller feels perfect". That's really something you'd have to decide for yourself. From my experience with it, I'd say that ergonomically, this thing makes the regular, stock PS2 controller feel like the third party product. Not that it would have to try very hard, but you get what I mean. For my hands, it's fantastic. The face buttons are responsive and are not overly mushy, nor are they overly click-y, I think they've found a good balance. I ordered the silver controller with the more stylized face buttons, and they look pretty neat. The X, Circle, Square, and Triangle don't feel painted on at all, which is good. Overall, I have no complaints about the face buttons.personally, I think the D-Pad is a GARGANTUAN improvement over the stock version. Whereas the stock controller has a stiff, awkward, and mushy D-Pad, the Logitech controller is on the opposite end of the spectrum. It's definitely superclick-y, and almost feels like another (albeit, more fixed and restricted) Thumbstick. It feels like it's made from a slightly lower quality plastic than stock, and again, it's clickier than a computer mouse in a tumble dryer, but I think it more than makes up for that with its ease of use, and superiority over the stock pad.the Thumbsticks are about the same as stock. They seem a tad more hollow, if that makes sense, and they're a tiny bit smaller, but overall, I'd say they're about the same. The round bottom part of them (Does that part have a name?), is made of clear blue plastic, which is cool I guess. It's something I think would have looked better on the black version of this controller with the blue Logitech logo. I suppose if you wanted to, you could replace these thumbsticks with the stock ones, but don't quote me on that. I haven't tried it yet.The select and start buttons are nearly identical to stock, but the analog button appears to have been replaced by the "mode" button, and across from that is the "Vibration" button. Ah, yes, the Vibration button. To let you know you've turned it off, it vibrates for about a second. I didn't know that, and thought that meant I had turned it ON, so you can imagine how surprised I was when I pressed it again and it SHOOK VIOLENTLY FOR 40 DAYS. I'm exaggerating, of course (It only vibrated for about 7 seconds), but it was unexpected, and a little baffling. That's not a complaint, or even a pro or con, I just thought it was kinda silly. Now, the shoulder buttons the only area this controller falls short in for me. They're a lot like stock, but have more click to them, feel bit lighter, and seem slightly sticky. I don't mean adhesive, "Fruit roll-up" sticky, I mean button sticky, especially L2 and R2. They don't stick all the time, but if I happen to press too hard, they stay down for a few milliseconds after pressing them. This could just be an issue with my controller, specifically, but even without the sticking buttons, I think the shoulder buttons are my least favorite part of this controller. Who knows, It could be I'm just too used to the 360 triggers.Onto the little things that nobody probably cares about; It takes two AA batteries, the screws can be removed with a phillips head, should you want to do that for some reason, the Logitech logo in the middle is not a button (incase you were wondering), and the receiver has a green led, but it is NOT the same green color as the led used in the PS2 slim console. It's much more yellow in comparison. Not that it matters, but whatever. The receiver also sticks out just about as far as the memory card does. I don't know what anyone would need with that info, but yeah.this is the best controller for the PS2 I've ever used, and I've used two.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No Playstation Should Be Without These!
*by M***G on July 28, 2007*

Logitech is a well respected name in computer input devices. They make some excellent wireless keyboards and mice and also make a pretty good web camera. When we purchased a very large television for our living room I didn't want my children sitting so close to it while playing games on their Playstation. However, the cord of the standard Sony controller is not very long so they did not have much choice. This is not to mention the tripping hazzard of having cords drapped from the entertainment center across the floor. Therefore I decided that it was time to step up to wireless controllers. There are many different types and brands of wireless Playstation 2 controllers. Many of them look really cool, with fancy paint schemes. When I searched Amazon and sorted the listing by ratings (highest to lowest) I found the Logitech Cordless Action Controller right away. Sure it doesn't look quite as fancy as some of the others but it looked well designed and it received rave reviews. I ordered up a couple of them and dicided to give them a shot. Much to the delight of myself and my children these controllers were flawlessly. The kids can now sit far away from the Playstation 2 console and not have to worry about the restrictions (and hazzards) of cords. I was a little worried about two of the same model controller interfering with each other but this is not the case at all. They are extremely easy to install and work without any fuss or extra configuration. They are a bit heavier than the basic wired controllers but much of this is due to the weight of the batteries. The rumble feature works very well and the overall battery life of these controllers is suprisingly awesome. We have had our first set of controllers for roughly a year now and I can only remember changing the batteries about 2 or 3 times (and my kids use them daily). The button layout is the same as the standard Sony controllers so there is not learning curve for the children to go through when using these Logitech controllers for the first time. We have since added two other Playstation 2 consoles in our home; one in the downstairs family room and one in my oldest daughter's bedroom. We purchased another pair of these Logitech cordless controllers for each of the new Playstation 2 systems. They all work just as good as the first pair we purchased. There is no interferance between controllers whatsoever. Someone told me that their 2.4 GHz cordless telephone sometimes caused problems with their set of Logitech controllers. I guess I can understand how this could happen but my home uses 5.8 GHz phones so we don't have this problem to worry about. I think that anyone who is looking for a well built, reliable cordless controller for their Playstation caming console should look no further that the Cordless Action Controller by Logitech. My kids have dropped them and stepped on them but the controllers still work perfectly fine. It sure is nice not having cords laying across the floor in my house anymore. Oh, and I have since purchase a USB cordless Logitech controller for our computer as well: Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2 with Vibration Feedback (963326-0403). It works just as well as the Logitech Playstation 2 controllers. =o)

### ⭐⭐⭐ good but buttons stick
*by T***T on April 29, 2007*

We have tried several other brands of cordless and this is the best for staying connected and working all the time. But after using for about 9 months the x button starts to stick. This is the second one to do this. Took the first one apart and found the silicone pad under the buttons crack and does pop back up you can turn it around but then the triangle button stick. tried to get a new silicone pad even contacted logitech, said parts are not availible. Its a shame to throw away a $40.00 controller for a .20 cent part. If someone knows where to get parts I would Like to Know.
