I keep a credit card and debit card in my pants pocket wallet inside one of these and feel much safer from skimming--as I've heard there was a case locally recently. Do they work? Who knows? But, for now, this is the best I've found that doesn't take up a whole lot of room in my pants pocket or my wallet. I've used mine for a couple of months and it isn't showing wear yet though I wish it felt just a bit sturdier. This feels like heavy paper.
