So I think I'm gonna keep it though I don't imagine or can't imagine what I might need it for at this point. One for smaller bolts and one for larger ones. **Q: Hi, everyone who know what is the differnt loggerhead bg8-01r-01 vs loggerhead tools bg8-01b-01 thanks.** A: 1R is slightly smaller width for the handle spread (4" vs 4.8") and lighter by 1.6oz. It also does not come the the "certified frustration-free". I own the 1B and it is exactly 13mm to 20mm for the working end. The 1R only lists the max as 3/4", so it could be slightly smaller opening (.75 vs .787) on the 1B. Their website currently only sells the 1B. However, at 20mm (fully open) the handles are so wide apart that you need some basketball player hands to really get the bionic effect. Works best under 11/16 or 17.5mm. And if you ever come across the 10" (BG10-01R-01 or 01B), buy it, for it is no longer manufactured. I think they had issues with the lifetime warranty when people were trying to use it on large nuts and bolts. **Q: Would this be a good tool for a mechanic ? Is useful with most bolts ?** A: I found it limited to use on bolts. The size of the bolt head is restricted to small or med.
