Economical and safe way to increase light power.
I love these 2 to 1 splitters mainly because they are the 90° type instead of the 45° type. I use three together to provide two down lights and two side lights for my garage ceilings and they really light up an area (I have 21 bulb sockets in my ceiling). So, I end up with about 50 LED bulbs in my ceiling providing a great, blinding bright area to work on things. When you wax a car, change oil, do detail work, or pretty much anything, a well-lit garage is so nice. On 4 different circuits, I can pinpoint an area and just use a few bulbs, or, turn on everything and get a suntan... lol. All kidding aside, it really is nice, and these bulb splitters are really cost-effective way to add more light. (I have 48 daylight bulbs in now, at 15w each, burn only 720w of power when all are on, compared to CFL's at 1,100watts, (48 - 23w bulbs), but, hey, back when I had those old incandescent bulbs in it was over 4,100w of power used!). Certainly LED bulbs are expensive, but I shouldn't have to replace them for years (ever). Made in China, but good quality overall and UL approved socket. Get smashed to bits in shipping.
I like these. It enabled me to turn a ceiling fan light fixture with two sockets that I couldn't get an upgrade for into a 4 socket fixture. I was just after more lumens and more lumens I got for very little money. They don't even have to screw in all the way in case you're wondering if they will be pointing the right way when they stop turning. There is some play there. Unfortunately Amazon shipped these in a paper mailer three times and the first two times they were smashed and destroyed in transit. It's not the product's fault but I'm just telling you this in case you're in a hurry to get them to expect the possibility they will be broken if not packaged properly.
