Well.. not at first... So, make sure it is plugged to a true USB 3.0 port, and then check that the cable its also a true USB 3.0 cable, most cheapo A-to-C cables are NOT true 9-pin USB 3.0 cables, so performance will SUCK... as in < 30 MB/s ElSuck which is USB 2.0 trashland... Once you sort that, this thing will peg the USB 3.0 port to 500 MB/s burst on my NAS (an older Broadwell E5 Xeon with a C612 mobo...) but then it will quickly fall down to whatever the SD card can read... some cards will reach well over 200 mb/s sustained, others much less.. anyhow, so unless you have a very old card this thing will deliver. Again, MAKE SURE your cable is a TRUE USB-3.0 cable... especially when using A-C adapters or using cables that are A-to-C just make sure the device is operating at USB-3.0 speeds.
