She freezes the home made baby food purees and then bags them in freezer bags, then takes them out and heats them up as needed. Each Cube slot is about 1.25 Ounces (.oz) of baby food. Pretty easy to clean, I put the sponge into each one to make sure to get any pieces, but going inside each slot takes about 1 minute total and than just rinse it out. Not sure about dishwasher, just hand wash to be safe. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Four Stars *by G***G on Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2017* Purchased to use to make "fat bombs" and they worked great for that purpose. LOVE that they are BPA and Phthalate free. Only four stars because I wish they were a bit more sturdy, but if you take extra care to not spill when putting the tray into the fridge/freezer you should be fine. The cubes I made came out of the tray neatly and perfectly square (I have not used them to make ice so I cannot speak to that). Rather too flexible when trying to put it into freezer.
