This is for people who don't hv ins. , or a lot of money , but still want to hear a bit better ! If you can put up with a bit of static , and taking the time to adjust the level of sound , this is a great little device for you . Hearing aides start at about $1,500 and can go up to $7,000 for (1) !!! It's a ridiculous price , I know but that's the fact ! Neither of the two were easy to adjust the volume. They did provide a screw driver but the slot was very small and it was hard to align the screwdriver into the slot. The adjustment was so small that even with a magnifying glass it was hard because the "contrast" where the "slot" for adjustment simply made it hard to find the slot.In addition, the quality of the amplification wasn't as good as other amplifiers we've purchased at 1/2 the price. Finally, one of them only lasted 1 day before we couldn't adjust it at all. It was silent and we used several batteries to make sure it didn't work.
