How are these secured?** A: Yes they both have lids. The lids just push on the top (but they can come off very easily). They are good enough to keep the water in as you transfer it to the freezer if you are careful though. I've recently become a fan of decent rum, a fine bourbon, and the occasional single malt, and the next step was a big old chunk of Bond Villain ice. My freezer isn't big enough for artisanal thousand-year-old Norwegian iceberg so obviously a £6 ice cube tray is the next best thing. The lid is very handy, to stop the water from sloshing and freezing the tray to a packet of frozen peas (don't pretend this hasn't happened to you. No? Only me then). The ice cubes take *ages* (okay about five hours) to freeze properly and they are proper chunky! Easy to remove, thankfully. Make a very satisfying clunk in the tumbler, only just fit, and almost last a lifetime before melting. I did look at ways to make the ice clear, and it's all a bit science-experiment-meets-hipster-beard but if that's your thing then there's ways (double boiled, distilled water, something-something salt water). Personally, I don't care that my chunks are cloudy. Makes 'em look mysterious while I sip my bourbon, white Persian cat on my lap, plotting how to become the next (not so) Benign World Dictator. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Flexible ice trays with lids!
