After we had already bought the test kits, only then did the instructions advise that we needed a pharmacist's or jeweler's scale to measure weight with precision of 1/10 gram. 2. When the 60-72 hour test period was finished and I pulled-up the sealed plastic coverings, the sealant left a permanent stain with black tar-like residue on the concrete (see photo). 3. Then, today, as I was researching what the test results mean (when selecting a concrete sealer), I found out that the ASTM testing standard organization no longer recognizes this test method as being reliable. Conclusion: money wasted, test results not reliable, and we are left with black rectangular stains on our patio.
