Model/GEN for your specific controller *by J***O on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2019* When choosing the category, like picking the color and texture of your controller, not all of the models are the same! Make sure to browse the pictures for each category that displays JDM 040, JDM 050 AND JDM 055. Most of the DIFFERENT TYPES of shells under ExtremeRate don't fit for the same model. For example, I pick this blue textured bottom shell that shows in the picture that JDM 050 AND JDM 055 is compatible with a green check mark. However, I browse the green textured one under the same seller that only fits JDM 040 which it's says on the picture and doesn't display JDM 050 and JDM 055. So be careful! Make sure to browse the pictures on each category under ExtremeRate and disassemble your controller to find the model number before purchase! Anyways, it fits great on mine! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth *by H***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2019* I purchased both the front and back shell sold by the same company so my review reflects my experience with both.Modding controllers can be pretty nerve wracking but it's absolutely doable. This shell in terms of quality was better than I expected and while it's not real wood it's a nice enough fake. I was surprised because the front and back shells are sold separately but the grain on both pieces still matches up really well.Now for what I didn't like and this may just be an issue with how I assembled. The sections where the two shells join on the grips where your palms rest aren't flush and is a noticable defect when you're playing. This is a pretty common issue around aftermarket shells so keep that in mind. The design of the PS4 controller itself doesn't do this any favors as well. Not a huge complaint but I have a lot of sensory issues so that's my problem. I would also make sure you have the right model controller to match with this shell. I tried digging through the reviews before purchase but I couldn't find an accurate model number. The controller I was modding was a model CUH-ZCT2U when this shell seems like it was made for a CUH-ZCT1U (if I have that right). This may be the real reason the shells didn't fit totally flush but again that's my fault. The main difference between the 2U and the 1U is that the rubber padding on the PS button for the 2U controllers is held in place by two pegs much like the other buttons but the 1U just has the padding stretched over the PS button housing. This may sound like nonsense but if you pull apart a PS4 controller you'll see what I mean. Again this isn't a big issue and I was able to make it work regardless but it's something to keep in mind.10/10 would definitely recommend. Will likely buy another shell for my personal controller as this one was for a Christmas gift. ### ⭐ One Star *by I***T on Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2017* Falsely advertised, i have the jdm-050 controller and it doesn't fit.
