Helped with bass roll-off with the factory head unit. No issue receiving signal from the stereo. Depending on your application you make have to remove the front cover and make changes to the internal jumpers.
Review: Don’t believe any negative reviews - This lc7i is great. I don’t understand why this is a frequently returned product. If you are installing on a newer car or suv and using multiple amps and subs it’s easy and does the job or if you are doing smaller things also! All you have to do is read the manual! There is everything you need in it tips and tricks also! I highly recommend this lc7i it is definitely worth it and made my system work Great!

A: No need to.
It more depends on what you are looking to run in your system.
Lc2i has main set of rca output(full signal) and sub output. 
Lc7i has 3 sets of Rca outputs that can be ran to amplifiers and signal/frequency adjustment made on amp.

**Q: Would any kind of bass nob work for this?**
A: There is an optional AudioControl ACR-1 bass control that is compatible with the Audio Control LC7i and for other select AudioControl processors

**Q: Does the dash control come with it?**
A: No, already had one

This lc7i is great. I don’t understand why this is a frequently returned product. If you are installing on a newer car or suv and using multiple amps and subs it’s easy and does the job or if you are doing smaller things also! All you have to do is read the manual!
