Before spreading silicone I used 3000 grid sand paper to smooth the carrom board then wet cloth, then dry cloth. After that I used hair dryer to dry 100% the surface. On the contrary it increases the friction. Atleast coins were moving before it was applied. Once applied the friction was so much that the coins stopped moving.
