**Q: Does this adapter support passive 48v poe?  the description states: "support 48v unsolicited power over ethernet poe switch"; what does that mean?**
A: I've never heard the term "unsolicited" in this context, but I suspect a language issue that equated "unsolicited" with "passive". I would definitely expect it to work, but even more definitely can't guarantee that :-)

**Q: will this work with the nest outdoor cam IQ?**
A: The outdoor Nest IQ is powered through a USB-C plug but I wouldn’t mount the splitter outdoors. It doesn’t appear that the camera has an RJ45 plug — it’s only wireless??

**Q: What can adapter can I use to power this? Want to use it to power a helium hotspot but don’t want to fry it**
A: You can use it to power your hotspot with PoE from your switch or an injector.

This unit strips the power from the network cable.

I run my hotspot and a small wifi router off of the power over ethernet using this little device. Works well!

**Q: Is the USB power output fully isolated?**
A: Yes. I use it as a PoE stripper for a Helium miner. Data still runs through the Cat6 while power is transferred through the USB-C.
