But a simple retightening with the provided screw driver does the trick. I found that when rolling it around if I push/pull the towel rack or the shelf on the side instead of pushing/pulling on the countertop itself it doesn’t loosen as frequently. The towel rack and side shelf seem much more secure for maneuvering the island around. Building it was a pain and I had to make some modifications to the doors to make them not swing inside of the cabinet. You REALLY NEED an allen wrench drill attachment or some of these screw placements would have been impossible for me. I would say I’m intermediate at building furniture out of a box. That said, it took me 3 hours to build. I did need a second pair of hands for putting the doors on. So far I really like this. It looks great and the material is sturdy expect for the backing pieces. It is perfect for small spaces. Time will tell how the table top holds up to use. So far I’m thinking it might stain or scratch easy. But that’s ok, for the price I’m not expecting much more. Overall I want to give it a 4 star rating for the building aspect, such a pain. The drawer scrapes against the top when it slides in and out (tried hard to fix it but it seems that’s just the way it is).
