The handles are very comfortable and have a nice weight fit to them. The blades are quite sharp, so cutting is effortless, even after about a year of daily use. They wash easily, sop we don't put them in the dishwasher. We have seen no staining or rusting so far. Unfortunately, while using one of the paring knives to separate some frozen sausages, I broke off about 1 in. of the blade. Yes,, I know this is a stupid thing to do, but I was in a hurry, and ... I was very happy to find that the paring knives are a stock item, and ordered two (in case I were to forget my lesson someday). They are a perfect match to the rest of the set.
