Much much much more accurate than my API ... *by F***S on September 15, 2014* This test is great. Much much much more accurate than my API alkalinity test. Pretty easy to administer the test, as well. To use this test you inject the reagent into the water sample and then once it changes colors you use the numbers on the syringe to determine how much reagent is left, and then use this to get your readings. This leads to my only beef with this product... The numbers on the syringe are badly wearing off after maybe 5 tests (I can BARELY get a good reading, and i know after a few more uses it'll be useless. I ordered more syringes for like 2 bucks off amazon so i'm not all that upset, but when you combine this with the fact that i can't figure out how to get a hold of the company, that's a definite 1-star deduction. In the future i'll be getting a hanna checker, but if you're looking for a low cost way to get AK readings, this is a great option.
