This one is next level, though. It turns very smoothly, which feels satisfying. It fits perfectly in my hands. It's very sturdy, and has a good solid feel as you turn it. I really like using this in zoom meetings...it keeps me from losing my mind. 😁 Review: One of Rubik's best cubes ever! - This is a very nice translucent cube. I was really hoping to own a transparent cube and Rubik's delivered in a big way. The colors are all really nice and easy to look at. They are like the original colors, not weird or pastel like. Of course it looks great, but it also feels wonderful to turn. Not stiff like an original Rubik's, ...it is light and turns very smoothly like a well worn in cube. Right out of the package, it was fantastic. No lube or modifications needed. I own Gan 12's , Moyu WRM Maglev, RS3M 2020, Dayan...and a bunch of other nice speed cubes. This Rubik's will remain in my favorites. It would take a while for me to be as fast with it as say a Gan 12, but I think I could get fast with it if I practiced on it more. I just love the fact that it is see through, light, easy to look at, and turns so well! Not to mention the cheap price! High Quality in this one. Motion control doesn't work well, so I think a switch would be better with replaceable batteries. Mine turns fairly well, for a Rubik’s brand puzzle. I have lubed other puzzles, but not my Rubik’s ones. I feel that if you pull the pieces apart a little bit, you can lube it enough to make it little easier to turn. I hope this helps. **Q: Does your cube rattle? Mine arrived with a slight rattle on the inside. Drives me nuts. is it defective?** A: No. We own several on- and off-brand cubes and none of them rattle when shaken. It sounds like one of the mechanisms around the core might have broken in transit. **Q: Amazon lists current Rubik’s speed cube and old version speed cube. What is the difference and why more expensive?** A: I have purchased 4 of the less expensive "New Version Rubik's Speed" cubes shipped from Amazon. They were all the latest magnetic version manufactured by Spin Master. They are my favorite cubes, though I own many "flagship" models by most of the top cube producers in 2022-3(with the exception of Gan. I refuse to spend that much). I think the "Old Version" uses the wrong pictures. Years ago Rubik's teamed with Gan to make the RSC(Rubik's Speed Cube). I'm fairly certain that cube was non-magnetic and may have had stickers instead of tiles. They might be selling the old version for more money because it's rare. I could be wrong about the "old version", but I really do like the $15 Spin Master Rubik's Magnetic Speed Cube. Not the fastest cube out there, or lightest, but a great quality magnetic for the casual cuber or beginner. **Q: Is this cube sticker less? Adjustments are cool and really do make a difference. Good cube for someone getting into speed cubing and wants to solve faster than the original cube.
