I received the 36x23x25 intermediate crate today (2/22/2019) and the edges are definitely sharp. In the past two years, I have ordered two of the higher end MidWest Ultima Pro crates and neither had sharp edges. I wish that I purchased another Pro but I needed something lighter, cheaper for a growing puppy. Will this work?** A: As others have said, the configuration of the two doors is as shown in the pictures which renders the middle partition somewhat useless. However, with a set of pliers and about 10 minutes of work, you can swap the two end pieces and have doors that access both sides. If you bend back the 4 retaining loops on the bottom of both end pieces with some pliers and swap the two ends, the end piece with the door will then be separated from the side access door. With the partition approximately in the middle, you then have room for 2 dogs with separate access. One partition is larger than the other due to the width of the side door, and in my case, I ran the partition slightly diagonally to make them more even. Hope this helps! **Q: How do you insert the divider? It seems not wide enough to be engaged into both sides.** A: The divider is wide enough to insert into both sides, you probably have to rotate it. The MidWest iCrate is awesome. We bought the 36" with the divider and the double doors so it could grow with him and I didn't have to purchase multiple crates. We live in an apartment so having double doors was important to allow me to keep it where it most out of the way. We actually had a piece of plywood cut and painted for the top and we keep all his toys, the leash, etc in a basket on top. He's doing great, but you want to know about the crate. First, I researched a lot, and my goodness crates are expensive. I was happy I decided to go with Amazon because with my Prime shipping, this crate was nearly 1/2 the cost of what I would have had to pay for one size smaller at the pet store. And Walmarts crates are all crap and are not sturdy at all. This crate is very well made, and in one of the questions I saw someone ask about sharp edges being corrected. I guess they have because my crate is smooth everywhere and no jagged or sharp edges at all. The plastic tray is easy to slide out and clean. We recently moved and found that the crate was very easy to collapse and it's heavy but not too heavy to move. Doors open and close with no issue, and I love that I have the double doors because as I mentioned previously, it has allowed us to use the crate practically anywhere because we can just use a different door. The divider is perfect and installs easily. My puppy is very comfortable and I did buy a bed for it, but he can't use that until the divider comes out, so we had to settle and get him a smaller pet bed in the meantime, but I am not sorry about that either.
