The inside material is just plain nylon like any other luggage bag. The zipper looks durable, but they are not waterproof. The combination lock for the zippers is a useful feature to prevent kids from poking around. I was able to fit and organize all my important documents in this bag, like birth certificates, passports, land and property titles, car titles, latest tax filings, diplomas, etc. the size of the bag is suitable for almost all documents except for some very old legal documents I have that uses a very long paper, I have to fold them a bit. The mesh pockets are very handy to hold cards like social security, passport card, credit cards, etc. The additional document pouch is a good addition, but right now I still don’t have a use for it, probably I’ll stock up on some cash in it for the rainy days.
