**Q: Does this tool have cable lock, so the length can locked to a adjustable hang length, and then released by pulling slightly to release the lock?**
A: Hi Joe,  No there is no lock.  It does have a tension screw that will allow you to adjust the tension on the line so that tool can be put at any height and remain there.
