Perfect set for those that are using their home game or getting into the cooking trade.
My son didn't want to go to college. He saw the passion I had for cooking and decided he wanted to see where that could take him. Started out in the back of the house @ a family owned restaurant and moved from washing dishes to cooking and plating dishes. Perfect set to get him as his first chef knives. He liked the weight and feel of the knives in his hands. I liked the value as a started set. He will get to practice keeping them sharp and I believe will give him confidence as he learns from the head chef and his peers. They look very professional and should last him for years. I recommend for any new cooks heading into that field for their first set and any home chefs that want to upgrade their game when cooking for friends and family. They will be impressed.

Handle cracked in under a year
knives are nice and heavy, hold an edge fairly well. The one pictured cracked at the first and third rivets, on one side, in less than a year of general kitchen use.

Poor quality stainless steel
The knife is sharp but this is not quality stainless steel. The small knife rusted after just a week of cutting fruit. Very disappointed.
