I've been wearing the GRV FC1 for a while now and overall I'm genuinely happy with it, which is why I'm giving it four stars — but there's one quirk that earns the missing star every single time it happens. Let's start with what this watch does well, because there's a lot. Battery life is impressive — I'm not scrambling to charge it every night, which is exactly what I want from a fitness tracker. It holds up. The sedentary reminder feature is one of my favorite things about it: set it up once and it'll nudge you to get up and move throughout the day and into the early evening. For anyone who works a desk job or just needs that gentle accountability, it's genuinely useful. Notifications work as advertised — you can get text messages and incoming call alerts right on your wrist. I personally keep those silenced because I don't love my watch buzzing at me unpredictably, but the option is there if you want it and it does function. Now, the thing that will drive you absolutely up a wall: the watch face resets itself. Randomly. Without warning. You'll go to check the time and suddenly you're looking at a face you never chose. To get your preferred face back, you have to open the app, hunt through the options, find your original face, sync it back to the watch, and hope it sticks. It's a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, but when it happens repeatedly it wears on you. If GRV ever patches that bug, this is an easy five-star watch at its price point. Until then — four stars, no regrets, but bring patience.

I bought this back in December 2023 (maybe before then I can't really remember) and it's still going strong. It holds a charge VERY well. I can go for days without charging this thing and it still doesn't go dead. It never misses tracking sleep or steps. I've never tested it for accuracy on the steps so I can't be absolutely sure that it's completely accurate. It does however let me know when I've reached my step goals and always reminds me when I'm sitting too long and need to move around. The sleep tracker also works well, and it only tracks when I'm actually asleep. Idk how it does it but it does. I thought maybe it tracked by movement but I've intentionally layed still on multiple occasions for about an hour or so and it never picked up anything. It wasn't until I woke up the next day that I saw sleep tracking data (and only for hours that I was actually asleep). I will say that sometimes it disconnects from the app (which affects weather, texts and other things) but doesn't affect steps or sleep tracking. I got this to track my sleep and steps so everything else it does is just a bonus and not a deal breaker for me if it disconnects sometimes. All you have to do is open the app and it reconnects. It has a great find my watch and find my phone feature that I love. For the price you really can't beat all the functions. I've paid way more for brand name watches that had issues within weeks so I returned them.

I was looking for an inexpensive watch to track my steps (heart rate/O2 are a bonus), this works great for that! It says it starts counting after 10 steps during 'awake' hours and 20 steps during 'sleeping' hours. I thought I walked way more than I actually did according to this watch. It is pretty accurate as I have counted my steps and checked the watch and they are within a couple steps. It tracks your heart rate and your O2 levels and saves the history in the app. It's nice to have that info at the push of a button instead of writing it all down (and misplacing the sheet of paper). I have mine set up to take my heart rate and O2 levels once an hour so I can see how I'm doing anytime I want. Great information to have for my next annual Dr appointment. It alerts me to get up and move if I haven't done so in 1 hour (vibrates 3 times and shows on the screen to get up and move). It also allowed me to set up an alert if my heart rate goes above a certain number that I have entered. Took me a while to figure out why it vibrated 5 times with nothing on the screen, that's your warning that your heart rate is above that set number you entered. The sleep tracker works fairly good, sometimes it says I have 'rapid eye movement' after I have woke up so that could use a little tweaking but overall, it does a pretty good job tracking your sleep. Tells you when you are in deep sleep, light sleep, rapid eye movement and awake. There are a lot of options to set up through the app, I don't think I'm using it to it's full potential but it works great for what I wanted. It connects to your phone via bluetooth so it rings when your phone rings, you get to see the text on your watch (I haven't figured out how to text back from the watch but I just grab my phone for the bigger screen to text anyways), it shows you emails that you receive, shows notifications from Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, etc. You can pick which apps you want notifications for through the app on your phone. I have not worn it in the shower to see if it's water proof, I take all jewelry off anyways, it seems fine when I wash my hands and splash it with a little water, never has it been submerged in water. The watch band is a little irritating if you get water/sweat behind it. Because you need it somewhat tight on your wrist for accurate readings, water/sweat can irritate your skin under the band, no worries, take it off and wipe the water/sweat off the watch, band and your wrist and it's fine. Battery life is actually better than I thought it would be, it gets down to about 25% after about 5-6 days. I charge it while I'm at work, I'm sitting at my desk anyways so I don't have to worry about missed steps or not tracking my sleep. Haven't timed a charge but I'd say it's around 1 - 1 1/2 hours to fully charge it. It does still vibrate if you get a text, call, email or other notification, however, when you tap the side button to wake it up, all you see is the charging status, you cannot see the notification. Overall, I highly recommend this watch if you are looking for a 'smart watch' but without the smart watch price and its own line on your phone plan. I have a Nord phone (same as Samsung only WAY cheaper), Android operating system, and this works just fine with my phone, no issues at all!! Highly, HIGHLY recommend this watch!!!!

Overall this watch is decent and has some nice features, unfortunately they all don't work as well as they should. The step tracker works pretty well. It doesn't seem as accurate as the health app on my phone, but is very close. The weather doesn't seem to update unless I manually refresh it on the app. I have been unable to get the messages/notifications fully working. I have reinstalled the app, reset the watch and relinked the two multiple times and even though all the settings are enabled it only receives some message notifications, while others never come through. Some people's texts and automated messages work while others don't. It seems to receive notifications from apple devices, but not android. You can add a custom picture to the watch face and change text color, but that's where the customizations end. You cannot change the screen layout and have limited ability to change the watch shortcuts. Getting to a stop watch for example forces you to go through multiple menus. Again, overall this is a decent watch with a lot of features. Your mileage may vary with some of those, but for a first and cheap smart watch it's a good deal.

I bought this watch Feb 1st, 2023. Three years later it’s still working well for me. I feel I have more than gotten my money’s worth and then some. Every feature still works. The only issue I had was that my skin reacted to the band. I replaced the band with a breathable version that I found here on Amazon. I love this smartwatch. It does everything I need it to do. I charge it once every three days. It keeps an accurate step count and its pulse and oxygen measurements are accurate.

This is a pretty good watch, especially for the price, however I do have a few issues with it. Pros: The display is large and easy to read. Large selection of watch faces to choose from including many with high contrast for good visibility. Many exercise/sport options. Cons: Multiple alarms can be set but there is no snooze option, only a button to turn alarm off. Calculator function did not work-the number pad worked but not the function keys. The phone function does allow you to access your contact list but the dial pad was not responsive-number response was hit or miss. The font for messages was smaller and harder to read than on my previous watch. Overall, this is a great watch. My daughter loves hers but didn’t quite fit the bill for me.
