Lay the book on its back so that the interior pages holding the CDs or DVDs aren't spreading out. I filled two cases completely. They're heavy, but these cases held them. **Q: is it mobile dj friendly and sturdy for excessive use not just sitting on a shelf?** A: Totally, I slam these things around all the time almost every day and have taken them out of the house and they put up with it all just fine.
