Disney Piano Solos

I had been looking for a Disney piano book for so long, when I found this one. I went ahead and bought it since the reviews were good. I recommend it for late intermediate to early advanced pianists. It has been a DREAM COME TRUE!! The songs are lovely and well written for performances or even playing for your local elderly care facility (that's what I do. The people up there really enjoy the lively music!). Anyway, this book is WONDERFUL and I recommend it. Just as a word of caution, there is a bunch of 4 and 5 note chords in the right hand, plus 2-3 in the left hand, so sometimes I'm playing 7 and 8 notes at a time. Just wanted to say that, but the effect is LOVELY and I know that you and whoever you are playing for (even if only yourself!) will absolutely be in RAPTURE to hear the beautiful sounds of your childhood as you play the beloved classic Disney songs. I've been playing piano for 20 years, but I'm not as good as that makes me sound. For an intermediate player, these are fantastic arrangements. I found myself able to really explore the dynamics of the songs since I already know the pieces so well. The melody switches between hands a lot (at least in Part Of Your World, the first piece from this book I've spent significant time with), and leads to good dexterity. Not the hardest songs I've ever played, and for that I'm grateful. The arrangements sound stunning without being too difficult to learn.

Has great songs for a intermediate player. Song selection is awesome. Downside is there are no lyrics with the sheet music :(

This book is amazing! When I first bought it, I had an unrealistic expectation for this product. I wanted a book that would grab my attention, easy to learn, not too difficult to sight read, and an enjoyable music that does not contain too much repetition. This book met all of my standards and more! I highly recommend this book to those who are between beginners and intermediate levels. Don't let the childish logo fool you for this book will bring enjoyable memories and fun, for both adults and kids!

This book has slightly more advanced arrangements of each movie's specific songbook. The "Whole New World" and "Reflection" arrangements here are spectacular. The "Go the Distance" arrangement is quite similar to the one in the Hercules songbook, and I actually prefer the one in the Hercules songbook instead. I played these three songs and uploaded them to my youtube account (username timmyng531).

I got this book for my partner as I recently gifted him a Yamaha keyboard. The song selections are ideal and he's enjoyed learning the songs within. Got here fast. I have no complaints!

I hate when songs end up sounding different when they are played on the piano. These arrangements sound really good on the piano, yet they are easy enough to sight read. The difficulty would be for someone who has been playing piano for a while.

I enjoyed the music in this book, but a lot of it was sight readable. I don't consider myself to be the greatest player in the world, but I bought the book in hopes of being able to work on a few pieces at a time. Upon opening the book, I found that I was able to sight read through almost every song. I bought this after reading a few reviews saying that it was challenging music, but if you are a good sight reader and want challenging music. This isn't for you.

My daughter is grade 2/3 level. She loves the book, and feels it will be a challenge, but not impossible, to play the pieces.

Sono rimasto davvero colpito dall'originalità dell'elaborazione musicale di questi grandi successi dei classici d'animazione Disney presenti in questo volume,l'elaborazione è ben articolata e curata nella forma, fedele ai brani con quelche orpello pianistico originale che non dispiace e produce un effetto davvero gradevole, il livello pianistico richiesto è medio-basso, la scrittura musicale è semplice,lineare e chiara, l'unica caratteristica da attenzionare con cura e che potrebbe creare qualche problema a chi suona il pianoforte da poco potrebbe essere come in ogni esecuzione l'elemento ritmico, ma come come ho detto prima la scrittura musicale per la sua semplicità non lascia spazio ad equivoci neanche sul piano ritmico, anzi non potrebbe essere più chiaro. In generale,tra i tanti libri presi e letti, e parlo per di più delle collezioni di grandi successi Disney di sempre distribuiti dalla Hal-Leonard, questa raccolta per piano pur presentando una quantità di brani decisamente più esigua, si fa perdonare la mancanza di quantità dei brani con la presenza di una buona qualità dell'elaborazione musicale. Concluisioni:sono rimasto soddisfatto del prodotto e come sempre dalla professionalità di Amazon e delle tempistiche di spedizione sempre fedeli e puntuali, l'unica remora o pecca che forse si potrebbe attribuire la si potrebbe avere prima dell'acquisto credendo che 12€ siano forse un po' troppi rispetto ad altre raccolte sempre della hal-leonard che costano qualche euro in più e presentano più brani, parlo ovviamente sempre delle raccolte dei successi. Ma come ho detto prima, per la mia personale esperienza e sensibilità musicale il prodotto vale esattamente quanto lo si è pagato.

Es ist ein gutes Buch, mit grossen Noten und daher gut erkennbar. Leider fehlen mir die Texte zu den Liedern, da nur die Noten im Buch stehen. Daher ein Stern Abzug.

Exactly as described. Daughter is grade 5 and melody is enough guidance to allow her to add relevant chords to make it sound great while if played as printed enough to encourage beginners
