So I plugged the item into a charging block and the light would not work. Then I attempted to try every usb port on roughly 6 different pc's to see if I would get a different result and nada. Then I pulled another cable from off of an android device I had charging and viola it lit up. So in short out the box the product did not work. This may not be an option for everyone and so I would not recommend buying this, as I am certain the quality of the strip will more than likely not last ether. The magnets are flimsy but this is true from any review I have seen on any similar products. Now that I have the box I wish that it was quadruple the size as the cube's functional area is a mere 8 inches cubed. Didn't come with any instructions or labels so if you're not careful trying to set it up I can understand how some may suggest it is quite flimsy and can be damaged easily. The magnets are pretty strong and hold up well however the sides were curving in, can be fixed easily by gentle bending each flap upwards. The led lights are bright but the USB cable is quiet short, I plan on using mine with a powerbank so that's fine.
