I cant imagine it would change the properties that much. It is amazingly strong cord for its size. **Q: Does this stretch at all?** A: Kevlar stretches 2% before breaking. If you have 100 feet and stretch it 2 feet it breaks. Kevlar doesn't burn so you have to tie the ends so it doesn't fray apart, probably doesn't matter for the braided line.
