Better than a rollator! *by J***5 on February 14, 2017* This is a pretty great walker, with a few minor limitations. Unlike most rollators with seats, it only weighs about what most walkers weigh (7# or so). But it also has a seat, and the seat can be adjusted as high as 26", which I need, by adjusting the legs to maximum height. The walker has two typical walker wheels and two legs with nice sturdy rubber tips, much better than typical walker tips. You still might want tennis ball slides to move more easily on a floor, but I prefer this the way it is. The legs are adjustable with the usual push buttons. I find rollators with 4 wheels and brakes too heavy, and the brakes still allow the rollator to slide when I'm getting up. This is light enough that I don't miss the other 2 wheels, and it stays in place much better when I sit and get up. The side rails on this walker have a great curved shape with excellent rubber grips in both top (walking) and seat-level positions, so I can push up with my arms to stand - I have not seen that feature on other walkers or on rollators. A few toilet aids have frames this shape. In fact, this can be used as a toilet aid too, if the seat is removed. I'm happy enough to give this 5 stars in spite of a few limitations:1. The sheet that they call a manual is useless, basically the same info as the teeny weeny pictures on the Amazon listing. To help other people, I am going into detail about what I have figured out.2. The seat is held onto its supporting sidebars by four very tight blue plastic clips near the corners. In addition, the tension of the aluminum upper back bar help to keep the seat secure. It may be impossible to take the seat off or put it back on unless the walker is very slightly folded, which requires unlocking that back bar by pressing the button under the black rubber sleeve. I also had one side of each U-shaped blue clip cut off so it's more J-shaped, to make removal easier. You have to pry each clip away from the sidebar, not just lift the seat. But if the button on the top crossbar has not been pressed so the crossbar is shortened (as if to fold the sides), removing the seat is almost impossible. It's not bad if the crossbar has been unlocked, unless your hands are very weak. Shortening one side of each clip as I describe is a good idea, too. The seat can be stored by hanging it from a crossbar by two clips at one end.3. To fold the walker, you push in the button under the black rubber sleeve at the center of the upper (aluminum) back support which holds the legs apart. The rubber sleeve is nice but not essential, and can slide aside. I will probably cut it off. The two parts of the bar (actually a sturdy tube) slide together and the walker folds very easily. This also removes part of the stress that was making it hard to remove the seat.4. This upper back bar is closer to the front than the dark lower bar, probably to add strength. But it's also uncomfortable to sit unless the seat is placed as far as possible toward the front legs. Not hard to do, but easy to forget. I am planning to get some foam to cover the back bar, which should help. The photo shows the seat placed too far back, in my opinion. The photo also shows a bend in the side bars of the seat, which my walker does not have.The aluminum tubes seem quite sturdy, and the wheels are the usual kind - not great, but probably easy to replace. Thought I could not use my universal walker tray, but I figured out a hack - the universal basket fits better inside the walker (hanging backward) and then it supports the standard walker tray very well - see my photo..Update: I replaced the front wheels with "off-road" wheels, which are fat and rubber - much better over sidewalk cracks and gravel. I replaced the rear feet after wearing out 2 sets of cane tips on concrete sidewalks. The replacements are wheels set on springs alongside cane tips. In other words, wheels with brakes! To sit, I have to remember to push down on them, but then I have non-slip seating when I get up, even on smooth floors. Rollators are not as good - unless they are up against a wall or furniture, they always slide even with the brakes locked. I have used the retrofitted walker extensively now. It's not comfortable for long sitting, but it's a lifesaver for shorter periods, allowing me to eat in a restaurant, visit a shop, etc. ### ⭐⭐ Quality is nice but the design didn't work for us. *by H*** on June 7, 2017* The quality, light weight and sturdiness of the product are all good. Here is why it didn't work for us.The top bar, which has the telescoping, sliding capacity for the walker to fold was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE when you sat where it hit your back. My lightweight, 95 year old dad complained immediately when he sat to try it out. "OUCH. That digs into my back". I tried padding the black push button (middle of the top bar) with a soft, Styrofoam "pipe". No good. He said it was very uncomfortable for him. So I tried sitting in the chair. I agreed. Not ok if you lean back at all.IF you don't mind having no back rest and just sitting without leaning back I guess it would work for you-provided the seat is positioned as far forward as possible to allow your back NOT to touch.Also - the seat was too difficult for my dad to snap it on and off. Hard to pry up. Hard to fit it left to right to put it on.If you want to use it as a bathroom aid the seat needs to be removed. . . and if you want to fold it to store or put in the car. . .again that seat has to come off. The discomfort and the seat difficulties are making us have to send the walker back. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Much Better then a Regular Rollator Walker *by P***A on May 12, 2017* Perfect for traveling.
