NYX PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP Total Control Drop Foundation - True Beige, Medium With Neutral Undertones

After reading through all the reviews and watching lots of YouTube tutorials/reviews I went ahead and purchased this foundation. I was worried because I’m so pale it was hard to choose between pale and alabaster so I took the plunge and went for pale. I’m so glad I did. It does make me look a tiny bit ghostly when I put it on by itself, but once I put all the rest of my makeup on, I feel it’s the perfect shade for my skin tone. I read some reviews that also mentioned how watery it is. I can see why they say that, as if you drop too much product it can run a bit. So the best method I found was to do a little bit at a time. I applied/dropped the foundation onto my face and used a beauty blender to blend it out. The coverage is excellent and I will definitely be using this as my go to foundation. I’ve worn it for a few days before I’m leaving this review and I do feel like it holds up better and doesn’t look nearly as oily as other products I’ve used. You can also mix it with another foundation if the color is too light. The bottle is pretty small, but for $4.10 on Amazon, you can’t really complain. It’s a great price! Way better than in the stores! I will be a returning customer!

I’ve used this foundation for 2-3 years and I love it. Many other makeups make me breakout but this one doesn’t. I actually breakout more on days I DONT wear this makeup, likely bc I touch my face more. It is very lightweight, pairs well with a powder. It lasts all day. I get a bit greasy towards the end of the day and dabbing it can remove some of it, but minimal. I have acne and scarring so I need good coverage that isn’t obnoxious and this does it after trying many different kinds. It also doesn’t help that I am a ginger with very light skin and freckles, but this coats my skin evenly and covers up well without looking like I’m covering up. My husband has assumed several times that I am not wearing makeup when I have this foundation on. It’s also noncomedogenic and vegan last I checked the formula. Ulta sells this for $15 so amazon is a better deal.

I like this foundation overall. It covers well and is buildable, so you can go from medium to full coverage depending on how many drops you use. I also really like the liquid drop applicator because it makes it easy to control how much product you’re using. The texture is very lightweight and blends nicely into the skin. It feels comfortable and not heavy at all. There wasn’t any strong smell, which I liked. I do feel like it gives a full coverage look at first, but throughout the day it starts to fade more than some other foundations I’ve used. I also wish it was a little more long-lasting and stayed in place better without needing touch ups. For the price, it’s still a good option, especially if you like a lightweight, buildable foundation.

The shades run lighter so maybe buy the next shade down for some warmth. Dries quick so work fast and moisturize for dry skin, the consistency is powdery liquid foundation. The droplets lid is very cool and useful, the glass bottle makes it all fancy..

Formula: Like noted in the description, this foundation has a watery consistency. Personally, I like to thicken up the formula a little for ease of application by mixing a bit of primer directly into the foundation on the back of my hand. There is a mild paint smell that does not carry or linger. Application: A damp sponge is probably the way to go with this foundation because some brushes will leave a streaky finish. NYX's recommendation (noted on the side of the box) on how much to use for different levels of coverage seems to be complete nonsense -- I use 3-4 droplets for light-medium coverage and another 2 or 3 to build up to something fuller where necessary. The watery consistency allows for seamless building of coverage in specific regions and a very skin-like, natural matte finish overall. Wear: I have combination skin, ranging from dry, flaking, and acne-prone areas to very greasy ones. By the end of the day, this foundation still looked flattering on all of these problem areas. I had no shine breakthrough or patches where the foundations wore away or turned patchy. Admittedly, this is probably confounded by the primer I added into the foundation. Shade Range: Even though NYX has been ahead of other drugstore brands in offering diverse shades and undertones, there are still a lot of weird jumps and gaps in the line. That said, the fluid consistency and dropper mechanism allow for easy and precise shade mixing for a custom match. Personally, I mix equal parts of Porcelain (03) and Pale (01) on the back of my hand to get the right shade and undertone for my face (which is very fair with a beige neutral undertone). More generally, I appreciate the existence of Pale (which is really, shockingly fair) as a general foundation mixer. Also, the formula probably isn't exactly identical among shades -- I noticed that Porcelain is a lot runnier than Pale. Price: It's important to note that there is only 0.43 fl. oz. per bottle compared to the usual 1 fl. oz. for foundations. This means that the actual price per fluid ounce is $32.56 (or $20.40 based on current price on Amazon), which would put this foundation in mid-range/non-drugstore price bracket. Overall: The NYX Total Control Drop Foundation is very versatile. I really enjoy using this foundation and would gladly purchase again when I run out. Important takeaways are that the formula is very friendly to both oily and dry skin and the shades are easy to mix for a custom match, but this foundation is overall pretty pricey for the brand. For ease of application, I recommend mixing a bit of primer into the foundation on a palette or the back of your hand and then using a damp sponge.

Hands down, this is the most awesome foundation ever- after 20+ years of struggles with acne, on top of my newly acquired aged details and dark circles from missing out on normal sleep with 3 little ones 4 and under, this stuff covers it all! I have actually had less breakouts since starting to use this (of course I wash it off before bed), and I feel natural with all the coverage I need in all the right spots. I normally can nit-pick a concealer or foundation to pieces, but with this I only have 1 complaint: If you tip it by accident, it spills EVERYWHERE! Goes with the "liquid" part of it I suppose, but I think I spilled half my bottle by accidentally tipping it off the counter (the second day after opening of course!) LOVE LOVE LOVE. Better than any $50+ foundation I have ever found!!

Honestly so disappointed. I was really looking forward to this product since it had a lot of good reviews, but when it arrived, the foundation was EVERYWHERE. When I opened the box, it looked like the thing had exploded. Turns out, the thing you use to squeeze the foundation out wasn't secured properly, so the foundation went everywhere and it just made a huge mess. I tried putting it back in but it was completely impossible. I ended up having to throw it away. I did use it on my face before I threw it away because I thought maybe I could somehow make this work, and the foundation itself is pretty good. The coverage is very nice and it makes your skin look absolutely flawless. But, the bottle was broken, so I had to throw it away. Overall, a waste of money.

Me gusta mucho! El único problema es que se termina muy rápido porque solo son 30 ml. En el empaque dice que con 4 gotas logras cobertura completa para todo el rostro pero yo uso 6 o 7 para cobertura media, fuera de eso me encanta y Beige y True Beige son buenos tonos para piel media/clara con subtono amarillo.

Im Gegensatz zum Puder dieser Marke ist dieses Produkt top!!! Deckt alles super ab und hat eine lange Haltbarkeit.

Ce fond de teint à bien couvert mes cicatrices d'acnés, la couleur allait bien avec mon teint clair. Je dirais juste que le prix est un peu cher pour seulement 15 ml de produit. Par contre j'adore le packaging avec la pipette qui est très pratique.
