I see no reason why it wouldn't cut like any diamond abrasive on concrete. I would keep it wet when cutting. Note that it has a shallow depth (about 1") which limits the depth of cut. If your material is deeper than 1" you're going to have to chip out the partial cut material in order to continue, or complete the cut from the other side IF you have a way to center the second cut -- easy on a drill press, not so easy in the field. I used a cold chisel to knock out the first part of the cut so that I could continue, which, though a pain in the tail, worked fine. If I had to make multiple cuts on material thicker than 1", I would look for a deeper hole saw. **Q: Can i drill a glass pickle jar with these, do i need to use water? can i drill with a drill press?** A: #1) Yes, you can drill glass with these bits. #2) Yes, you should use water because-- it acts as a coolant, and, it helps carry away chips and glass dust. #3) I'm not a big fan of using a drill press because it's difficult to feel how much pressure you're applying. Cut a very pretty, clean, circular hole in the shower tile and cement board when installing a new shower faucet. I highly recommend using the "cut a hole in scrap plywood and use that as your cutting guide for the tile" approach rather than the "start at an angle on the tile, then rotate to the circular cut" method. I cut my circular hole in the plywood then taped it to the wall where I wanted the hole.
