A lot of dryer vents exit to the outside above the place that it exits from the bottom of the dryer. These elbows swivel to different angles if the exit hole is not in a straight line from the dryer location. They worked very well for my application. Also they enabled the dryer to fit tighter to the wall, as there were no kinks in the vent hose to worry about. TS Review: No more crushed dryer vents - My dryer started taking a long time to dry. After inspection, I discovered the vent duct was crushed at the bottom probably due to the dryer being pushed to close to the wall. I ordered this elbow and a new duct. The elbow fits well, it was easy to install and will ensure that the vent does not collapse at the bottom.
