The setup is fairly simple (calibration a bit confusing) but once you've linked the two devices together via bluetooth you're off and running smoothly. Go pros with the highest amount of stabilization cannot create the smoothness the gimbal added on can. The joystick works perfectly and the footage becomes smoooooth!! It also allows you to charge your go pro battery using the gimbal as you shoot. As we all know the go pro batteries do not last and this function is a lifesaver. The price is incredible and the build very professional. One drawback is that you cannot use your media module or go pro audio block so we specifically use the camera for B roll and action footage. If we use it at an event for capturing a speaker we purchased an extension bar that is placed under the gimbal and a 1 foot USB extension cord to tether to the USB C opening on the GoPro. Simple!!! This gimbal feels pretty sturdy. The HoHem App is responsive and connects quickly. Response between joystick and the gimbal itself is fast. The app offers numerous adjustments you can use for the gimbal i.e. speed control etc. Quick connect for securing your camera to the gimbal frame. You may have issues with how you charge your camera while in the gimbal like if the charge port gets blocked based on how you have to secure the camera to the gimbal. The only disappointing thing is that the listing says the gimbal is compatible with a Hero 3. Well that isn't entirely true. I definitely wouldn't have bought it if I knew you couldn't use the joystick on the gimbal to take photos or stop/start your video. The gimbal works with the Hero 3 but it cannot connect via bluetooth/WiFi to it to use all the features

It works but I took 1 star off because it has issues connecting with my GoPro and I only took 1 star off because I don't know whos' to blame, the iSteady or the GoPro. Sometimes the 2 well connect automatically as advertised but more times than not I need to go into the connection settings of the GoPro and remove and then readd the Isteady for them to connect, it's an annoyance that I have to deal with every time I turn the device on. Aside from from that I like the device. I can use it to change camera modes and start/stop recordings. It comes with case. It also comes with legs to sit it on a table, I guess, but not sure why you would buy this device for any other reason than holding it. Stabilization is pretty good but it could be better. Overall I think it's a decent device but probably should cost a little less.

I saw this revewed by a couple of creators on Youtube, and for its price decided to buy one. It definitely improved my camera work, and for its price I confidently recommend it. My only criticism is that you have to insert the camera upside-down in order to power it from the gimbal, and which makes powering the camera on/off inconvenient. But apart from that, I throughly enjoy it!

I purchased this product September 11th, 2025. It was working fine for a few months. Today August 30th, 2026, the Bluetooth connection failed, resulting in not being able to use gimbal with GoPro 9. Very disappointed in this product. The only thing I can do now is manually control the gimbal with one hand and control the GoPro 9 with the other. I am giving 1 star because I the gimbal is not completely useless.

Keep this in mind. This CANNOT use with GoPro Sound mod. works well with bare GoPro. Some models you have to mount UPSIDE down in order to use the charging C port. (This is so annoying. You cannot access some menues when you mount upside down with charging cable. But otherwise, it is a good product.

Excellent gimbal stabile easy to use and even the app is smooth and works great. I got this and used it with my osmo 5 pro. It fits on the gimbal location and works great the only hangup is that you can't use start stop with dji or other cameras that I have found. Not a bad thing just have to work around it. But the gimbal itself the battery lasts longer than you would think much more than I thought. The remote controls for go pro cameras that have that feature. Excellent controls. I found this to be a great value the stability pays for itself in the footage you will get. Take some time learn the controls and off you go its that easy. It will definitely improve the video quality of your footage with an action camera. Does not disappoint.

Great value for money, well packaged, comes with needed cables, carry case, and easy mounting for DJI Action 6 plus others. A quality product with quick & easy setup, mounting and pairing with smartphone and camera. All 3 or individual axis control with axis lock, smooth slewing using auto or manual axis adjustment. Professional movement during recording of walking, stair climbing and hiking. Purchased based on YouTube reviewers and I would recommend or purchase a second unit for multi camera setups.

AGGIORNAMENTO1 Ho contattato il servizio clienti che ha puntualmente risposto. Ho spedito il Gimbal difettoso in Polonia. Dopo 8 giorni mi hanno comunicato ti averlo ricevuto e di organizzare la spedizione del sostituto asap. Sono fiducioso, sembrano molto professionali. AGGIORNAMENTO2 Il servizio di supporto è stato impeccabile. Dopo il primo contatto, in 14 giorni ho ricevuto un nuovo Gimbal che dalle prime prove funziona perfettamente. A mio giudizio la cosa importante è l'efficienza del servizio di supporto. Torno a dare 5 stelle.

O produto funciona bem, todavia a maneira de conectar a alimentação da gopro via cabo USB não é das melhores, principalmente se desejar que a câmera fique virada para cima.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Für meine Action und Sport-Video Drehs, brauchte ich ein funktionelles Gimbal welches zu 100% kompatibel mit meiner Hero 9 ist. Als Limit habe ich mir ca. 100€ gesetzt, da mir die Halter regelmäßig kaputt gehen (was aber an meiner Nutzung liegt :-D Bislang bin ich mit dem Gimbal äußerst zu frieden. Das Handbuch ist zwar etwas schlank gehalten, was die Informationen betrifft, jedoch ist vieles selbst erklärend. Gimbal + Hero9 +Hypersmooth klappen super in Kombination. Meine Aufnahmen sind mehr als Flüssig und sehen echt klasse aus. Das Menü sowie die Einstellungen sind ebenfalls selbsterklärend. Die GoPro lässt sich direkt mit dem Gimbal koppel, sodass aufnahmebutton usw. direkt am Gimbal gesteuert werden. Der Gimbal selbst wird in einem passenden Styropor-Koffer geliefert, in welchem jedes Zubehörteil seinen passenden Platz hat und beim Transport nicht beschädigt werden kann. Der Griff liegt gut in der Hand und lässt sich Problemlos mit einer Hand Steuern. Die Akkulaufzeit ist ebenfalls gut. Mit einer vollen Ladung komme ich knapp 2-3 Tage hin. Ist für mich mehr als Akzeptabel. Die Servos arbeiten flüsterleise und geben weder Geräusche noch ein Kratzen von sich. Für meine Zwecke hat sich die Anschaffung mehr als gelohnt. Mit einem hochpreisigerem Gimbal würde ich jetzt keinen überzeugenderen Benefit sehen. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a reall good quality gimbal and it works pretty flawlessly. First setup wasn't straightforward but we got there in the end, but once setup the difference it makes to video quality on the move is incredible. The handle feels comfortable, there are several controls at your fingertips to adjust the direction and tilt and it comes with a tripod if you want to set it up in a fixed position and let it track. Price is fair, quality is great and it works brilliantly.
