I use it along with a Pico controller and the car visor mounting clip. The range is far more than claimed, so it is easy to switch on the porch light from the car, enter the house, and then turn the light off via the MRF2-6ANS installed the wall. My experience with motion-sensor exterior lights is that they are highly unreliable, but the MRF2 has been dependable. Some have noted the high price, but in my application, the cost is no more than buying a cheap / dumb switch and a luminaire with motion sensor and has the advantage of actually working.I am using this switch to control a pair luminaires, each with a 9W Phillips CFL lamp; a total load of 18W.A neutral is required in the outlet housing the MRF2-6ANS. When I purchased the device, I believe there was a sister product that did not require a neutral, but the sister product required a much larger load to function. Don't trust me on that- you'll need to read the spec sheets. I felt, long term, it was important to have the neutral and avoid the wasted power on a higher power incandescent or halogen lamp. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well, but SOOO expensive! *by S***K on Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2018* I used this to turn my stairway lights on, and it works pretty well. I paired it with the LRF2 battery-powered ceiling motion sensor. I was going to put a motion sensor switch at the top and bottom of the stair, but the wiring was impossible and this was the only solution that Lutron could recommend. Occasionally it takes much longer to turn on than expected; maybe one time out of twenty. Pairing was easy. The switching is also silent.Cons: first and foremost, the price is rediculous. They must know there are few other options. Lastly, it would be great if this talked to my home automation system, but you have to buy from a whole separate product line for that. Why?? They have something to learn from GE there... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Product, Poor Fulfillment *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2011* The product itself works great with the wireless ceiling occupancy sensor mounted in my garage. So I have awarded 5 stars and highly recommend this product to others. Be warned though, if your order is fulfilled by Amazon there is a good chance it will arrive damaged. Both my original order and the replacement order arrived badly damaged due to grossly insufficient packaging. Each time the product arrived with the paddle scratched and metal bent because the manufacturer's box was crushed and the various bits and pieces like the screws, wire cap, neutral wire, and instructions were rattling around unprotected. This was not UPS or USPS fault but rather how it was packaged in a cardboard envelop with zero padding nor any protection that was much too large for this item. In both cases, Amazon's customer service was not helpful as the only solution is to return, reorder, and wait since this was technically only fulfilled by Amazon. I generally understand this approach except when it's their fulfillment that's directly responsible for the issue at hand.
