Review: You will see a dramatic decrease in fruit flies! - This product has only been in my house for eight days and it’s already done a world of good. I’ve seen a dramatic decrease in fruit flies. I like the stability of the bottom though I feel it could benefit from a rubber bottom for extra stability because it could still slide off the counter. As a person who does a lot of baking, I usually have fruit everywhere. It’s in my refrigerator, it’s on top of my microwave, it’s in bowls on the counters... Everywhere. I almost constantly have fruit flies and I hate sweating it flies while I’m trying to eat. Finally, I decided to do something about it and bought this product to test it out. To my amazement, it has worked wonders. I only have one little pesky fly left and I’ve just set out the second trap for him. I have full confidence in this product. My biggest complaint about it is that there are no refills. I love this product and I want to use it all the time! Though, I have seen some reviews that have said they pry it off the top of the screwdriver and used a mixture of apple cider vinegar and soap. I’m going to try that after 45 days when it runs out. The bottom line is: If you have fruit flies, buy this product!

**Q: What is the ingredients of the solution used to kill the flies?**
A: Active Ingredients: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (0.08%). Inert Ingredients: Vinegar (5.00%), Water (94.92%).

I suspect you could refill these with diluted Apple Cider Vinegar and unscented dish soap to break the surface tension like the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate does. Seems a waste to throw them out without experimenting.

**Q: Will this work with knats in the house ?**
A: It worked for me. Had a bunch of them around my cats food and litter box. They'd drive me crazy flying around my face. Now there's only been a couple in the last week.

**Q: Flies flew all around traps, but not in them. Terro says that means they're not fruit flies, but they're too big to be gnats. What can they be? Help!**

I’m really impressed with this fruit fly trap. It was extremely easy to set up — just pour in the ready-to-use lure liquid and you’re good to go. I also love the cute apple-shaped design; it looks pleasant sitting on the counter, not like a typical bug trap. Best of all, it actually works! Within just one day, the trap caught six fruit flies. I’m definitely satisfied with how quickly it made a difference. Highly recommend for anyone dealing with those annoying little pests!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really good. Except...

These suckers are really good for use. No DIY-mess that comes with making your own with a cup and saran wrap/rubber band and and toothpicks, no fuss, no clean-up... except two out of two times we've ordered them, the "bait" they said to use has failed to lure in any bugs. Both times I just topped it off myself (first time with a few drips from a strawberry daiquiri wine cooler, second time with a few drops of white wine vinegar) and suddenly there were gobs and gobs of the nasty little bugs inside. Buying it from Amazon is a lot cheaper than any of the local options, but my assumption is the ones I got *may* have been a bit too old for the bait to still catch anything. Still, a few drops of home-chosen bait will (at least for me!) fix that issue.
