You can’t go wrong with this for authentic Arab dishes
You really cannot go wrong with Royal Basmati. The grains cook up long, fragrant, and perfectly separate without turning sticky or mushy. It’s ideal for authentic Arab and Middle Eastern dishes like kabsa, mandi, or biryani. An absolute pantry staple.Note: the bags i recived do not match the one in the images, see the attached photos.. But as long as the quality is good, I am not concerned

makes lovely long grain fluffy rice, good smell/taste when cooked, read on for more info!!
Ok, many of ya'll had me freaking out that I bought a 15 lb bag of plastic pieces. I gave the bag a sniff test, and couldnt pick up any aroma. Doesn't basmati rice emanate a luscious aroma? So I looked up other brands (well known) and saw similar comments about the rice not having an aroma. Then I decided that the only way I would know is just to cook some. First I added a little to a plain pan and proceeded to "toast" it on my gas top stove. I figured if there were plastic bits, I would see it, smell it right? Nothing unusual to be noted. Threw that out, and took fresh rice to add to my rice cooker (rinsed well first). I made according to my machines directions. As it cooked I could smell the aroma that I expected. When it was done, the pieces were perfect. Not sticky, totally fluffy. No gumminess. Tasted as it should. Then I wanted to look over the plastic bag within the burlap sack. In order to pull it out I had to pour out some rice. Glad I did this because once in a bowl (2 quart size), I put my nose to it and could smell the rice just fine. There's that aroma! After I pulled out the plastic bag with remainder of rice, I looked it over for holes, bugs, and debris. No bugs, no debris. I did see some tiny holes. Very small, and I could tell that they were/are most likely puncture marks from the rice. Not many, but enough for me to double bag it with another plastic bag I had on hand. Then I slid it back into the burlap bag and put back what I took out. Really, no problems. I had this at 4 stars, but once I really worked with it and looked it over, I can say that I am pleased. Very happy that the rice is in a plastic bag and not just in burlap.I would consider this again depending on price. I was able to get a 15lb bag for $20 (on sale). I can get 1lb bags at local $Tree for 1.25 per lb, so I didnt really save any buying this.. but it saved me a trip. This page shows old reviews, so it may be beneficial to change the viewing option to see "most recent first".

The Basmati Rice I Keep Buying Again and Again 🍚✨
“If you love fluffy, fragrant rice, this Royal Authentic Basmati Rice is an excellent choice. From the first time I cooked it, I could tell the quality was outstanding. The grains cook up long, light, and separate beautifully without becoming sticky. One of my favorite things about this rice is its naturally delicious aroma. It pairs perfectly with everything—from grilled meats and vegetables to curries, beans, and everyday family meals. The cooking process is simple, and the results are consistently great every time. The texture stays tender while still having the signature fluffy bite that makes authentic basmati rice so enjoyable. The large bag is also a great value if you cook rice regularly, and the packaging helps keep it fresh. It’s become a staple in my pantry because it’s versatile, reliable, and always delivers restaurant-quality results at home.*If you’re looking for premium basmati rice with wonderful flavor, aroma, and texture, I definitely recommend giving this one a try. It’s one of those pantry essentials you’ll want to keep stocked!”

Great Basmati
Always a classic! This is our go to brand for rice, specifically basmati rice. It's long grain but not extra long. It's flavorful but not too perfume like. That's why we prefer this brand. It's kind of a mild flavor so we can use it for all kinds of food. A milder less perfumed flavor makes this rice more universal in application. It cooks like any other rice. Amazon has great prices too. Our local stores increased the price quite a bit on Royal Basmati so Amazon is the way to go.

Consistently Fluffy, Non-Sticky Rice – Great for Everyday Meals
I’ve been using this rice for weeknight meals and meal prep, and it’s been really consistent. The grains cook up fluffy and separate, not sticky, which I prefer especially when serving it with saucy dishes. It holds its texture well even when making larger batches. The flavor is mild and clean, so it pairs easily with different types of meals without overpowering anything. I also noticed it absorbs seasoning nicely.I usually give it a quick rinse before cooking, and that seems to help the texture even more. The 15 lb bag is a good size if you cook rice often it lasts a while and is convenient to have on hand.Overall: dependable quality and great texture for everyday use.

Great rice. Don't buy US grown rice (expect from CA). Read comments.
Great rice. I honestly don't eat a whole lot of white rice, instead I usually eat brown rice. This rice is great. Fragrant, cooks up perfect every time. Always fresh. Why I don't buy US grown rice (and yes, I am in the US), because of the arsenic content. With the exception of rice grown in CA (notably Ludenberg) US rice tends to be much higher in arsenic that rice from most asian countries - notably india and thailand. Why? All rice does contain some level of arsenic. US rice from the south has much higher levels because most of the fields used to be cotton fields and they used a lot of pesticides containing arsenic on them years ago. That stuff just don't go away ya know. Asian rice is much lower in arsenic.

The Basmati I Keep Coming Back to for Meal Prep
Royal Basmati is a staple in my weekly meal prep, and I've purchased this fifteen-pound bag many times. As a fitness professional, I put thought into the foods I build my meals around, including my carbohydrate sources. But food still needs to taste good, especially when I'm preparing it ahead of time and eating it regularly. This rice earns its place on both counts. The flavor is wonderful, and the texture is a big part of why I keep buying it. I use a Zojirushi induction rice cooker, and this basmati comes out beautifully in it. Having a rice-and-cooker combination I can count on makes meal prep simpler; I can prepare my rice ahead of time instead of starting from scratch for every meal.I reheat it for meals throughout the week, so my opinion isn't based on one freshly cooked batch. It's part of my regular routine, and I continue to enjoy the flavor and texture in those prepared meals. That everyday usefulness matters more to me than a product that sounds impressive but doesn't fit the way I actually eat.The fifteen-pound size is a no-brainer for how often I use it. I appreciate being able to keep a dependable staple on hand, and the repeated purchases say more than any elaborate sales pitch could. Good flavor, great texture, and a reliable place in my meal-prep routine. Easy five stars.
