Review: Runs from iPad without needing external power on Akai pro MPK mini MK3 - Purchased to use with an Akai profesional MPK mini Mark 3 connected to garage band for IOS on my Ipad Air 2. Not sure if Akai have done a better job with reducing power consumption with the MK3 but just thought I'd let you all know what I found. Absolutely brilliant value with the bonus that the setup with garageband is completely portable with no mains power needed. Thanks, now go and enjoy making your music anyway You're welcome! Lol

**Q: Can you use this to connect an external hard drive to an iPad in order to view pictures on the hard drive?**
A: I don’t know. We got it to read some files from a flash drive on an iPhone or iPad and it did not work. Returned it.

**Q: Is this what we get after the “not enough power” message?**
A: this did not work with my devices

**Q: Will this work between an ipod touch and a ifi hip-dac?**
A: Yes it will - if your iPod Touch has a Lightning connector.

**Q: Can I use this to move pictures off my iPhone to an external hard drive?**
A: Yes you can, you just need to goto share the pictures to the file directory under the name of the external drive.
