That being said, I wouldn’t have written this review if the following truly bizarre accident didn’t take place during my late night walk in my neighborhood. While crossing a quiet residential street, I was run over by a minivan whose driver didn’t see me in the dark. Despite jumping back, the front wheel of the minivan ran over my right foot causing excruciating pain. I expected my foot to be completely crushed considering the weight and the level of pain. Imagine my surprise when I find my foot was not only looking intact but also the X-ray did not show any fractures! The shoe toe is not reinforced but the high quality padding did not create any pressure points which helped to distribute the weight of the vehicle evenly, and as a result my toe bones were saved. I switched from some Adidas Terrex shoes which gave me foot pain and after using these, the pain pretty much has disappeared. Time will tell how well made these are. I played 18 holes in them today in Hawaii, very hot day and they are comfortable and not too hot.
