My daughters have been playing with their treehouse for more than 3 years and we haven't had any issues with the eyes. The youngest was 3 when we got it. **Q: how big are the animals and are they stuffed with beans, or plush?** A: The animals probably average 6-7 inches in length, with some being a little longer than others. Only their heads stick out of the tree, but the plastic thing where they are attached to the tree can be cut so that the animals can be removed through the back. The tag on the bottom says they contain pellets, so I assume that is what they are stuffed with, but can't say for sure. It's hard to say because the animals are very soft, and you can't really feel what is inside. I would say there are no beans! **Q: Is this stuffed with PVC pellets or plastic pellets?** A: Yes, absolutely they contain PVC pellets. Each item is labelled that it contains Polyester PVC pellets and that it is not appropriate for children under 3.
