It is intended to connect to a computer, either Windows or Mac or even Linux. I have never tried to connect it to my Android cell. Cells have limited storage and power compared to a computer, so I do not see a reason to copy files from a memory card to a cell phone. **Q: What is the maximum theoretical card storage capacity supported by this reader?** A: It does support 2tb when format32 is used. I have a 4tb drive that is being used for my video files. Keep in mind that I make sure that the video files and photos are below 4GB( optimal 3.8 is a very good size) My 5Tb partitioned into 2 tb drive with the remaining 750GB ( I suspect it, that it's over provisioning. Definitely recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top quality *by G***Y on 15 November 2023* This line of card readers is in a rare category of top quality, no expense spared products. Professional photographers and videographers, among others, rely heavily on memory card usage and there is nothing worse than coming back from the field or the studio with dozens of cards to download and battle with slow, flimsy readers. The Pro-Reader are strong and heavy so they won't dance at the end of your USB cables and they stack very well together or can be mounted in an even more solid (and expensive) thunderbolt enclosure. Equipped with a USB C interface, they seem to read and write as fast as the card will. An AJA disk speed test on a 300MBs Sony Tough SD card gave sustained 245 MBs writes and 255 MBs reads, about as good as could be expected. An old 120MBs Sandisk Extreme CF card wrote at 84 MBs and read at 120 MBs. The CFast reader got 209 MBs writes and 517 MBs reads out of a 512MBs Sandisk card but I haven't tried the CFexpress reader yet. I wouldn't take these on an expedition because of their weight but it makes them much more usable permanently installed on a desk.
