Designed with a quick cam locking base that locks the sliding support arms in place for a fast, frustration free setup. The PRO-GRIND Sharpening System includes 5 different sharpening jigs with preset gauges. Each gauge is set for the correct angle, tool type and style of grind. The 27” Multi-Grind Mounting Bar is ideal for grinding skews, chisels, gouges and more. The 3” x 5” platform with miter slot is perfect for scraper, skews, hand chisels and hand plane blades. With the PRO-GRIND system there is no more grinding away your expensive turning tools. You will be able to create sharp, accurate cutting angles and clean edges in a fraction of the time, all the while saving money. Review: I purchased this to sharpen my wood lathe tools. I am a retired machinist so I am very familiar with what it takes to fabricate things. The entire unit is extremely well constructed, and the workmanship was way above average especially for custom made items these days. It was packaged perfectly, even though it was not in an exterior box it arrived in perfect condition. There is quite a bit of assembly required, and it does require measuring and drilling holes to mount the components, but I am sure that anyone who is going to purchase such an item will have no problems at all. The feature that sold me on this unit versus others on the market was the fact that this can be set up to sharpen any of the tools that I have, gouges, skew, scraper, parting tool, etc. There is no additional components needed to sharpen any of these, and additionally my wood chisels as well. If I had to find any sort of feature that could use improvement it would be the angles that the Pro Grind is set up to achieve. The documentation does not specify the angle, just a type of tool. I would like to see something for example "set to position #1 for 55 degrees, Position #2 for 40 degrees" etc. This way I could grind the tool to what I chose. Other than that, I can not find fault with anything in this system. I mounted mine on a 14"x18"x3/4" piece of plywood, and had to attach a smaller piece of plywood for the grinder to sit on to raise it to the proper height. The base is large enough for me to drill holes to store the various setup gages and places for the various fixture pieces, as well as a small dish of water in case I need to do some aggressive grinding and need to keep the tool cool. All in all, I am very pleased with this addition to my shop equipment. Based on other systems I looked at, the Pro Grind is not only very cost effective, but will sharpen a wider variety of tools. Recommend highly.
Review: Delivery was prompt,well packaged with very clear setup instructions. I watched the U tube instructional prior to starting the assembly. It went very well until I went to insert the long chisel slide arm,it kept binding halfway in. After a bit of frustration I realized the slide tube had a distortion of about 60 thousands in the center. I sent an email to the vendor and got an immediate response. I provided my order number and address and recieved a response within hours that a replacement was on the way. WOW, that's great customer service!! Once I got around that little problem,the system works great. My chisels all look much better then they have in a long while!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: will this work with the Wen?**
A: I have it installed with my WEN 8" slow speed grinder.  It works great.  I did have to raise the base 1" above the mounting board.

**Q: How far above the wood base do the grinder wheels have to be?**
A: Minimum clearance above the base of the tool is 1.5 inch to the bottom of wheel guards on the grinder. If the base is close to the grinding wheel then you need 2.25 inch to clear the handle that clamps the tool holder to the base piece. My grinder is a Ryobi and I had to put a spacer block below it. Used a piece of 2 x 6, but had to be careful not to interfere with flanges on base.

**Q: I saw Don Lewis's review and wonder if new (or improved) version of flatform is applied or not.**
A: Have not seen this version in our shop yet. Still use the original production model!

**Q: What are the instructions and settings for round nose scrapers?**
A: This tool comes with a DVD and complete instruction manual written by people who use this tool. I recommend this tool!

I purchased this to sharpen my wood lathe tools. I am a retired machinist so I am very familiar with what it takes to fabricate things.
