## Overview

The Meta Wear R – 3 Axis IMU is a cutting-edge motion sensor system that combines accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and various altimeter/barometer sensors. Designed for wearables and fitness applications, it offers advanced gesture and activity detection, making it a must-have for health tracking and research.

## Description

MetaWear R is the first iteration of the sensor platform and comes with a 3-axis accelerometer. Additional sensors can be attached via the general purpose I/O pins. There is also an LED and push button on the board. The board is powered by a lithium battery that is USB rechargeable. The board is based on the nRF51822 SOC from Nordic built around a ARM Cortex M0 CPU and Bluetooth Low Energy.
