I highly recommend this product! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Alternative to 'Shave' Saxophone Reeds With *by R***A on 29 September 2025* This is what I use to 'file' my natural Saxophone reeds with - for Consistentcy! (yeah, it's a thing). It has small burs on each edge. That edge, when used lightly, shaves the reed. The reed's edges should be tapered to a consistent wings shape while the center 'v' shape is thicker. There is a quality commercial steel tool available for this that has specific edges to use and there is another small file that comes with a textured piece of glass for filling the backs flat. But for me, this piece of stainless steel is cost effective, works well and will last for ever. It's normally used with a CNC machine, but it works for filing Sax reeds too!
